Restaurant signs: opening hours, reserved table, holidays and offers
A sign scribbled at the last minute says little about a well-kept place. In a few minutes you can have all your restaurant’s signs in the same style as your menu and daily menu.
-
The most used signs
Opening hours on the door, “Reserved” on tables, “Closed for holidays” with the reopening date, offers (2 for 1, happy hour, dish of the week) and practical notices such as “Bookings only” or “Please wait to be seated”.
-
Step by step
- Open “Restaurant signs” and pick the type of sign: sample texts appear by themselves.
- Replace the texts with yours. For opening hours, write one line per day with a bar: “Monday | 1–4 pm”.
- Pick the same style as your menu or daily menu, or upload your own background, and add your logo.
- Pick the size (A4 for the door, A6 or A5 landscape for tables, story for social media) and download as PDF or PNG.
-
Make it readable from afar
Few words, nice and large. Use the highlighted text for the one thing that matters (a price, “2 for 1”, the reopening day) and keep the rest in short lines. The font size adjusts itself so everything fits.
Ideas for each sign
- Opening hours: add a QR to your map or bookings for people who pass by when you are closed.
- Holidays: give the exact reopening date and, if you like, a QR to your website or social media.
- Offers: make it clear when it applies (days and times) and whether there are conditions.
Before printing
- Check dates, times and prices: a mistake on the door brings more complaints than no sign at all.
- If it has a QR, scan it with your phone before printing.
- For outdoors, laminate it or put it behind glass: sun and rain soon ruin it.
Your document never leaves your device: JapalTools processes it in your own browser and never uploads it to any server, which matters when it contains personal or tax data.
