How to convert an image to SVG
The image is reduced to a few colours and the outline of each area is turned into lines and curves (with ImageTracer, inside your browser). The result is an SVG made of paths, not an embedded image: that’s why it scales without losing sharpness.
Select or drag a logo, icon or drawing.
Choose the image type and adjust colours and detail while watching the preview.
Press Create SVG and download it or copy its code.

Frequently asked questions
Logos, icons, stamps, signatures and drawings with flat colours and sharp edges. The larger and cleaner the starting image, the better the outline.
Yes, but the result is a poster effect with few colours. A real photo has millions of shades and can’t be turned into vectors without losing its look.
Tick “Remove the background”: the colour surrounding the image from the edges is left transparent. If the PNG already has a transparent background, it is kept without ticking anything.
It adds a thin border of the same colour to each area so no white lines show between them when zooming. Untick it if you are going to edit the paths and want shapes without a border.
No. The vectorization is done in your browser and the image never leaves your device.
No. The document is processed in your own browser and is not sent to JapalTools or anyone else. When you close the page, no copy remains outside your device.
