Third-party software licenses

Last updated: 3 October 2026

JapalTools is built with third-party free software, which is served from this same site. We acknowledge its authors and reproduce their copyright notices and licenses, as those licenses require. The license texts are kept in their original language (English), because only that text is binding.

Licenses chosen

JSZip is offered under a dual license (MIT or GPLv3) and so is node-forge (three-clause BSD or GPLv2). JapalTools uses them under the MIT and BSD licenses, respectively.

Code included inside these libraries

pdf-lib includes pako (MIT and Zlib), @pdf-lib/standard-fonts and @pdf-lib/upng (MIT) and TypeScript helper functions from Microsoft (tslib). JSZip includes pako. Their notices appear in each library’s license file.
