How to put your restaurant menu on a QR code at every table

A QR menu is updated without reprinting, never gets stained and customers open it on their phones. You do not need a paid platform: all you need is the menu published at your own address and a QR code per table. JapalTools makes the menu and the QR codes in your browser; the website where you publish the menu is your own.

  1. Prepare the menu

With the restaurant menu maker write sections, dishes, prices and allergens and download it as a PDF. If your menu is already a PDF or on your website, skip this step.

  2. Publish the menu and create the QR codes

    1. Upload the PDF to your website, your business profile or a file service that gives a public link, and copy that address.
    2. Open restaurant table QR codes, paste the link and set the first and last table.
    3. Choose the size (card, round sticker or A6), the style and your logo. Each QR shows its table number.
    4. Download the PDF, print it and scan a couple of codes with your phone before placing them on the tables.
  3. Change the menu without reprinting the QR codes

The QR code only stores the link. If you replace the PDF at the same address, customers will see the new menu with the same codes. If you change the address, you will need to generate and print the codes again. JapalTools does not host your menu or count visits.

Finish off the tables

  • Table tents: with Table tent cards you print a folding sign with the number, the menu QR and the wifi.
  • Allergens on display: the allergen chart shows the 14 allergens of each dish, to hang up or send.
  • Daily menu on social media: with Daily menu maker you create today’s image for Instagram, WhatsApp or the board.

No platforms, no fees

  • Free: create as many menus and QR codes as you need, with no watermarks.
  • No sign-up: no account or email needed.
  • The link is yours: the codes point to your own address, so they do not depend on JapalTools staying online.

Your document never leaves your device: JapalTools processes it in your own browser and never uploads it to any server, which matters when it contains personal or tax data.
